Question
Hey, My name is Sean Peele, and I'm currently A Senior at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Ga. I was thinking about trying out for football at Georgia southern. I played football for the last past three years in high school in two years in middle school. My aunt and uncle siad i have a lot of potential and being a great athlete, but i just got work hard. I wasn't one of the best player's but i enjoyed playing. My uncle siad I should try out for the team. I have played WR,RB,and I played Safety my Senior year. I think i would enjoy WR, the most. I am 6'0 170 pounds. I was wondering what position should I try out for? and What do you think my chances will be making the team? Thank you for your time.

Answer
Sean, hello!

Your coaches will determine the best position for you and the team, but if your heart is in being a WR, you need to tell them that is your preference.

It would be awesome if you can play for the Eagles!  I teach insurance classes in Savannah.  Yesterday, a man named Justin Callaway brought me a Georgia Southern Football poster with the coach and all of this year's players signature on it!  He's going to be playing baseball on a men's team I coach and was a student of mine.  So, the magic is that poster and your email in the same week.  It means you have to help Georgia Southern win a National Championship.
Call Coach Hatcher immediately!

Take care,

Thom Brooks
