Expert: Thom Brooks - 1/8/2009
QuestionHi, Names Glenn, I'm 19 and i Only have a GED, I'm Going to a Community College, and they have no football, so i went online and saw a county team called Mchenry County Pirates, Now I'm planning to attend this college and look into transferring hopefully to attend a university, would semi pro football not let me tryout for College football?
AnswerGlenn, hello!
I have attached the website and phone numbers for the NCAA elgibility rules. They can give you an official opinion. If you get paid to play as a pro, it would disqualify you from playing college in many cases.
Trust but Verify.
Do not take anyone's word for something so important. Get it in writing from the official people.
Contact the colleges where you want to play. They will give you the minimum entry grades that you have to maintain to play NCAA football.
Take care,
Thom Brooks
