Question
In Pro ball neither the ball or the player's feet have to touch the endzone--what is the rule in college football?

Answer
The ball must be in player possession when it crosses the goal line and the player must have been deemed down in the end zone or the ball declared dead in the end zone for a TD.  The only time the players feet don't have to touch the ground on a pass play in the end zone is when the airborne receiver catches the pass and is carried out of the end zone or pushed out of the endzone [back into the field of play] on a pass play and he ordinarily would have come down in bounds.  Also a runner who dives for the goaline doesn't have to have his feet touch the EZ, only the possessed ball need cross the goal  line for a TD.
