Question
I am a high school senior and I be attending a D2 school next year. I haven't played football since my freshmen year of high school but keeping myself in shape like playing little pick-up games and going to the gym 3 times a week so I was just thinking will I have a chance of making a D2 school football team as a walk-on (O yea in 5’6 and I weight 170)

Answer
Johnathan, hello!

You will not know until you give it your best shot.  The Coaches will not rate you high until you show them your skills.  Remember, they will be selecting men that have 4 years of experience with statistics to back them up.  So, your would be last on the depth chart.  So, what are you going to do to move up and impress them?  You will need to show football intelligence, durability, team chemistry and Leadership.  It does not matter what team you try out with.  What matters is how high your level of determination is.  We see super quality athletes that are lazy and never fit in.  We see misfits that find a way on the roster and get their opportunity.

So, what are you going to do?  Take charge of yourself and you will be successful.
