Question
Dear Thom,
It's nice to see that there is a helpful site like this to assist an find answer athletes are dying to known despite what other people think. I hope that you can find my answer to me being elgibile to play again except this time on a higher level. In 2002 I signed a four year scholarship to play at a division  school. I was red shirtedmy freshman year of 2002 -03 and my second year 2003-04  I played. The next year 2004-05 I had acedemic problem so I was ruled inelgible and I sat out and I enrolled in school as a part time student. That next year 2005-06 I returned to the field and played again that fall semester. Unfortunatly in the spring scrimmage I blew my knee out and was sidelined that entire 2006-07 season. I came back for the 2007 season and tore my other knee before my season started and I sat out again and have not played since. I am currently about to graduate summer of 2009 and would like to know what are my chances of playing in gaduate school. Do I have eligibility left to try and pursue this goal?

Answer
Brian, hello!

The NCAA has to make the official decision but it sounds as though you could be Redshirted for at least two of the years, if not three.
They do have the very occasional 6 year Medical Redshirt.

You need to talk to where you will be attending Grad School and their Athletic Department.

Call the phone numbers of the NCAA Eligibility below.  They may want to see your official records.

Sorry about your injuries.  I hope you get to play and then I hope that you stay injury free.  It's time for you to enjoy the game!
