Question
Hello Sir,
I once payed football and was a lean freshmen in highschool at 5 foot 11 inches 200 lbs solid muscle with a 5.0 fourty-yard dash back then. I have gained weight however lost it all by now  and am back to 5 foot 11 inches 200 lbs.  i currently am a very strong, aggresive kid that when i take the field i was always tenacious and aggresive and had a sense to make something out of nothing. I screwed up my highschool years. last time i played was freshmen year averaging 4 sacks, 8 tackles, and a block punt or FG every two games or so at defensive end. It has been since freshmen year in highschool though and i want to walk on at a local college. I was wondering what workouts would get me back to that football prowess i had before. I at one point for sure looked to be a Division one star for sure and am now hoping for any walkon opportunity i can get.

Thank You and God Bless,
Jeffrey James Raymaker

Answer
Jeffrey, Hello!

You need to go back to the basics of a healthy diet, without enhancement drugs, and a workout schedule that is professionally monitored (by a trainner from a YMCA or fitness center if you do not have the assistance of players and coaches).  Sprints after Sprints will start getting you back towards Football Shape.  Losing weight back down to an previous size does not have anything to do with being Football Ready.

Review all of the websites I've attached and get an idea of which college you will seek to earn a degree through.  They will explain their workout schedules, tryout dates, NCAA minimum grade requirements, etc.

If you have the desire, your dream will come true.  Do not sit around and wait for someone else to take charge.  You have the ball.  You control You, Inc.  Now, get to work on it.
