Question
Hi. My name is Chris Oxidine. Im 22 years old and want to get back onto the football field. I have played a little college ball already but had to stop because of an injury i sustained in my last season playing. I Red Shirted my first year of College Football at Azusa Pacific University, which is an NAIA school, and then played a year at Palomar College, which is a Jinor College. During my year at Palomar, i sustained a shoulder injury, seperated ac joint, which healed inncorrectly after the season had finished. That was 2 or 3 years ago. I haven't been attending classes sense then and am just getting back into school now. My Question is am i able to get back my 3 years of eligibility back so i can play some football as i finish up my AA degree, should be done with that by next winter, and still go on to a 4 year college with 2 years eligibility? Also wondering where should i start on trying to get my eligibility back and who should i contact about that?

Thank you very much for your time and i hope to hear back from you soon.

Answer
Chris, hello!

You sound like you should have at least 2 years, perhaps 3 depending on if the college knows a rule I missed in your explanation.  You need to contact the school of your choice and they will get the official opinion but I've attached the NCAA contact information.

Hope you stay injury free and get to enjoy more college ball!!!!  Let me know which team you suit up for so I can follow your progress!
