Question
Hi, my name is Omar, and I graduated from High School last year(2009). I played all throughout high school, and played 1 year of varsity. I started 5 out of 10 games my last year on varsity. I am currently at a community college with no football, but am looking to transfer next year, hopefully to a D1 school to play football. I am 5'6", I currently weigh 152, but will most likely be in the 170s by February. I play CB/WR. Last time I ran my 40 it was a 4.6, but that should be at a 4.4 by spring time. My question is, do you think I have a chance to play D1 football? And what D1 schools would you recommend (in Texas), that could give me a good shot at the NFL? Its always been my dream, and I am doing all I can to purse it.

Thanks

Answer
Omar, hello!

Only the coaches that witness your skill at a tryout will determine if you are good enough to suit up.  I have attached a number of websites.  Study and review them.  You can go to sites like RIVAL.com and see the different divisions of schools in Texas area.

If you are gifted, hard working, and if you offer Leadership, then many of the schools would be honored to have you play.
