College Football/Face Mask Penalty on Extra Point

Question
We had a face mask penalty called against us in a youth football game on an extra point try when the QB was scrambling and tackled at the 10 yard line.  The refs positioned the ball on the retry on the 1 yard line as "Half the distance" to the goal.  The original line of scrimmage was the 2 yard line.  Was this the correct ball placement on the retry or should it have been at the 5 yard line?  Our league follows the PIAA rules of Pennsylvania.

Answer
George, hello!

You need to contact the PIAA in PA. and the PA. High School Football Association.  They will give you the precise answer.

The ball should have been spotted at the 3 yard line but after the penalty, the ball would have been spotted at the 1 1/2 yard line with the PAT attempt again.
