Question
Does/should an onside kick get counted into a kicker's average kickoff distance? Or is it credited against the "team" as it is in the case of a blocked punt that does not cross the line of scrimmage.
Thanks!

Answer
Charles, hello!

I do not know!  I would think the kick would count as all others but a column would show how many were Onsides attempts.  In baseball, the box score shows a hit as a line drive to the fence even if it stopped 5 feet in front of home plate...... '

I have attached the NCAA rules book.  If I find the definite answer, I'll write you back!!
