College Football - touchdown rules

Expert: Thom Brooks - 10/27/2009

Question
If a receiver has two feet in the endzone, but the ball does not break the plain of the goalline, is this a touchdown?

Answer
John, hello!

It could be.  It depends on where the ball was caught with his feet in bounds and his control of the ball.

the End Zone is extended (an imaginary Line) so if his feet landed in the End Zone and the ball is determined to have broken the plane, then it is a touchdown.

Take care,

Thom Brooks
