College Football/Junior College Walk-on
Expert: Thom Brooks - 11/16/2009
QuestionThom,
I just finished up my 2nd season at a junior college in California. I have my highlight film all done and i sent it out to 37 schools, however i still need to find out information about walking on. What do I need to do to do so? My dream would be to go Pac-10, but i know how much of a pipe dream that is. Please let me know what steps i need to take in order to walk on somewhere and if possible what are the policies for walk-ons coming in spring ball. I will be eligible to transfer as a junior this spring as i will receive my A.A. in december with over 60 transferable credits. any help would be great, thanks
Jacob
p.s. if you would like to view my stats and/or highlight film email me and ill send you a link to it on youtube.
AnswerJacob, hello!
You are doing it the right way! I've attached some websites but your next step is to determine your career path and then contact the school that offers the education and the sports program that you want. Call their Athletic Department and they will give you the dates for tryouts or when the scouts can meet with you. If your tapes are quality, you will get the opportunities.
Take Care,
