Question
Hello, i'm a guys that always played baseball, im 20 years old and in jenauary im going to enter in the college. I would like to play football beacuse when I was playing pbaseball the coaches always told me that my perfect sport is Am. football. I don't know why they say that. That was in the Dominican Rep. when I was living there for baseball, I remember that they was telling me to go to the college and play football for my abilities, for aggressive and Rudeness that I have. I like football it make me fell full inside me because I can use all my potential and contact, my brother play it, but I never play that. I always play baseball because that's my family sport from my mother. I'm 6,2", 205 lbr without gym, (i'm out tryining now just a month of gym). I remember that I was 3.9 sec. from Home to first after hitting the ball, and 6.6 or 6.7 at the 60 yard. Talkin sincerly I learn fast if we talk about sport, and I red that there is a football player (Antonio Gates) that never plays college football and he is in the NFL. Baseball coaches always like me because I do and learn whatever they tell me, is a talent that I have. In high school I was 1.95 meter high jump at the age of 17. I like sports I live with sports, but I want to try football, it fill all my desire and vents all my fury, I just think that is what I need, I don't know what more can I say. Thanks for all, and sorry If maybe a was arrogant or boaster talkin about me.

Answer
Emanuele,  hello!

Bragging is good, as long as you can back it up!!

If you get the proper coaching, your athletic ability would be welcome at many schools.  I have attached a list of websites for your review.  The NCAA has a minimum grade requirement so be certain your grades will not prevent you from playing.  When you get to the college you will get the opportunity to try out.  If you have the skill, you will make the team.

I coach a men's baseball team and would love to have someone like you on our team.  We've won our League championship 4 out of 5 years, Minimum Age 23 players.  I would strongly urge you to try out as a BASEBALL player for college.  You could get a scholarship for BOTH sports.  If you were too inexperienced in Football, it would give you a year in college to get ready for the Football games, by playing the first year of Baseball.
Time will tell if you can play both Sports or will make the decision where you would best fit.  Some men have made it to the PRO's and played both Sports!!

Stay in touch and keep me posted on which team you join!  The Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricances would be great.  I'd love it if you played for the Georgia Southern Eagles in football AND baseball!  One of my baseball players just graduated from Georgia Southern, (played Linebacker for 5 years) and is a tremendous baseball player, too!
