Question
Just watched the Ole Miss/ LSU game...if a team gets a delay of game penalty with one second left what would the penalty be, and can they substitute a field goal team after the penalty?

Thank you for your question.   The Penalty for Delay of Game foul is a 5 yard penalty from the previous spot.  So if the offensive team takes too much time and allows the play clock to expire they will be penalized five yards from that spot.  They may substitute any players and they may send in a field goal team.  Once the officials have administered the penalty, the Referee will start a 25 second play clock, while the game clock remains at 1 second.  The game clock will start on the snap.
