Question
"Hello, my question is, an offense player has possesion of the ball, running toward the goal line...he trips, he is tackled...on the five yard line...he fumbles...the ball rolls / moves forward into the end zone...touched by no defensive player...ball goes out of bounds from within the end zone...if it is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd,  or fourth down what happens..."

Answer
Bob, helllo and Merry Christmas!

When the ball is lost and rolls out of the end zone, it is a touchback.  The other team takes possession on the 20 yard line.  Had the offense recovered their own fumble it could have been ruled a touchdown unless it was determined the ball was intentionally fumbled into the end zone to help that team.
