College Football/Best odds of getting scholarship

Question
Hi Thom,
I am a  High School  junior and I am the kicker for the football team and the Keeper for the soccer team.  I am told I am very good at both(I attend a 5A High School in Texas).  My first love is soccer, but wher do I have the best chance to get a D1 scholarship-football kicker or keeper? I also have a 4.0 gpa and I am in all AP classes.

Answer
J.B., Hello!

You have the skills and the grades, so you will likely be able to pick where your degree needs to be earned.

I've attached websites for you to explore but the scouts and coaches will be in contact with you this year.  If not, you need to give them your stats and interest.

Plenty of schools have a need for Kickers or Keepers so the odds are great for a man of your talent.  If your love is Soccer, then do it.
Maybe you can play both for the same university.  You have plenty of time.....Kickers just stand around flirting with cheerleaders and reading Advanced Math books on the sidelines anyway............Hah!

It is a joy that you can maintain your AP studies and still have time for Athletics, so you are special.  The universities will be fighting to have you join them.

Take care and let me know your progress.
