Question
Hi,

My question is regarding eligibility. I have one year of eligibility left at my D1 school but would like to graduate summer 09 and attend grad school (D2)and play football as a walk on. Would I be able to play right away without sitting out a year?

Thanks!

Answer
Tom, hello!

I have attached the NCAA website for recruiting requirements.  You need to have your exact records and then call them.  They will give you an official decision.

Generally, you would not have to sit out a year since you would be moving to a lower division football program.

Did you play 3 years or more at the D1 school?  The D2 school and the NCAA will make that decision quickly to answer your inquiry about years remaining.

You are living in a wonderful chapter of your life and sounds like your head is screwed on the right way!

Let me know what team you play for.  I'll follow your stellar career!!
