College Football/Football Kicking

Question
Hey Thom. I had question about my ability to kick a
football, further develop my skills.

I just started kicking for my team last week. I can kick 55
walk on but inconsistently. I hit 35s-45s almost every
time. I have the desire to get very good and possibly even
play for a D1 school. I already practice 3-4 Hours a day. I
also have a 3.7 GPA.

I am wondering does it sound like I can be college bound?
Do I have a great leg? What should I do to further my name
and get recruited?

Answer
Austin, hello!

If you are kicking FG's from 35-45 with accuracy, your chances are outstanding to make first string for someone.  As your strength grows, you will be able to nail the over 45's which is Big Show material!  If you are punting, the 35 yard average will see you sitting on the sidelines.

With your GPA and your work ethic, I'm certain plenty of teams would love your services.  The discipline that you show with the workouts indicates you would be an incredible asset for a team.

Take care,

Thom Brooks
