College Football/Verbal Offer

Question
My son met with a D2 school and all the coaches. They made a verbal offer to him. He took two days and called to let the entire staff know that he would attend the school. The coaches asked that he send his official transcripts to the school and the information from the NCAA. The schools has received everything that they requested. We have tried to contact the coaches and they do not return our call.

Should we look at other schools or is this typical?

Answer
Sharon, hello!

I would be talking with other schools.  If they do not return phone calls, I would wonder what kind of treatment your son will get when he's enrolled and on the team.  They should at least be sending you an email.

Take care,
