Question
I played football since i was 8 to my senior year. I am currently 5'10 185 pounds and run a 4.9. Currently my bench is about 205 and squat is 475. I graduated in 2007 from a small town school. I played line during high school, but wasn't the best considering my size.I'm currently 20 years old and just started college at a community college. I was wondering what do you think about me playing college football and my chances.

Answer
Josh, hello!

You would be undersized to play the line for many of the major colleges but it doesn't mean you can't make a team.  Depending on your skills and the position, you need to make contact with any college where you can pursue your degree and still play ball.

Do not give up easily.  If you're an athlete, you will be able to help the team in some capapcity.  I can't answer without knowing all of your ability, and the type of team you would join.

If you have the desire, you will find a way to play football!  So, chase that dream with enthusiastic focus.

Take care,

Thom Brooks
