can you find any info on james gavagan a bare foot kicker in college around 1950 to 1954   thanks   bob

Can you provide me more information.  This is a very broad request, can you please give me more background information (i.e. college, region of the country, anything special about him that will help me narrow my research).

My resources do not find a James Gavagan as a kicker.  Please know that the alumni list tend to only have lettermen and so they don't show players who were on the team or who played but didn't win a letter.  Some of the Universities have errors in their lists or they are not complete.
I have searched the player alumni liss for the colleges you listed and some historical records for the era 1950-1954 and do not find such a kicker. There is no listing of such a player in the NFL or the NCAA Record books for kicking or punting and not historcal press articles about such a player.  Again, this doesn't mean he didn't play but that his efforts were not reported and retained.  Is this the correct spelling Gavagan?

Any more information you have I will take a look at... I have check a couple dozen sources thus far.
