Question
Hi sir, my name is Dustan Gutwein and i am currently in the USAF as a security forces member. I am currently playing for a semi-pro team in Dayton,Ohio called the Miami Valley Warriors, starting at OLB, now do i do a highlight video and send that to colleges? My dream has been to play big time college football, i have trained my ass off since i have been in the military, im 6'1'' and 210 lbs. I have competed in bodybuilding competitions, but my dream has been to always play college football, and i had the talent to play from high school, but my coach was too lazy and never got my name out there, and i didnt have the money to go to summer camps. I know a lot of people that have been in the military and go on to play college football when they get out, so just trying to get my name out there, thank you sir.

Answer
Dustan, hello!

First and Foremost, thanks for everyday you wear the USA's uniform.
You already are on the First Team.

Yes, you need to send U-Tube video to the colleges where you will prefer playing.  Your age means you will compete against the young troopers coming out of high school.  It also means you have a great deal more wisdom and Leadership, so use it to your advantage.  A college would be crazy not to want you on their roster.  If you've been paid as a semi-pro, the NCAA will review and block so read the rules.

Assuming your grades are adequate to meet the NCAA minimum standards, you need to make contact with the Athletic Departments immediately.
They will advise when you can either Walk On or when you need to get enrolled dates.

You're going to love your next few years of playing football!
