Question
I live in sanford, maine and my name is stephen hutchinson. Ii was wondering
if i could go to college for football and most like play even tho i didn't play in
high school? I just play with friends and family alot during the summer and if
so where around here.

Answer
Stephen, hello!

Only you and the coaches can determine if you have the skills to play for a team.  You need to contact the NCAA (I've attached the numbers and website.  The sites also have different divisions for you to explore the colleges closest to you.  Don't forget, some schools may be in another state but close enough for you to enroll.  You need to be certain that you will have the grades required by the NCAA in order to play sports.  The website will help you get that determined, as well.

You can go to your state of of Maine's official government website and see the list of all of the schools to see what kind of degree you will work toward.

Contact every local coach, high school football official, community recreation department heads, local TV, radio and newspaper sports reporters and current players with any college.  They have a wealth of knowledge and most of them are happy to help in your quest!
