College Football/Withdrawing from a Scholarship
Expert: Thom Brooks - 3/31/2009
QuestionI am a high school senior who signed to play at a D1 AA school. However, after signing the LOI, some D1 A schools started contacting me not knowing that I had signed already. How can I work on some how transferring to one of those schools?
AnswerHello!
You need to check with the NCAA Eligibility requirements, get an official opinion, get the school where you've signed the Intent to give you a legal Release and then talk to the new school. They will inquire as to why you signed, and then changed your mind. If both parties mutually agree, you should be able to play where you think is the best fit for you!
Have an incredible memory playing ball!
