Question
Hi my name is Renard Sagun.

im going to a JC next year and i was wondering if i would be able to play on the football team even tho i never played in high school. not playing in high school is one of the things i will always regret in life but i heard playing for a JC team is a good start for getting recruited to D1 schools or thats atleast where im trying to aim at.

my questions are:

1. would they accept me?
2. would they let me play in games?
3. would D1 schools look at me if i do good?
3. im 5'8" 197lbs,  is that a decent height and weight for an RB?

thank you!

Answer
Renard, hello!

1.  Yes, you can play if you have the skills and grades.
2.  Playing would be up to the Coaches and how well you perform.
3.  All colleges have scouts and coaches that would look at you if you appear to be needed at their school.
4.  You height is not a negative.  Your weight could be perfect if you have the skills.  Learn the game.  A month of practice will disclose if you have the Right Stuff.

Take care,

Thom Brooks
