College Football/What could i do?

Question
Well i've played basketball my four years in high school and im currently a senior about to graduate. I've always enjoyed playing football at the park and with just random people, and i never really thought about playing football with a real football team. I was wondering if the chances of walking on at any college level are there and if they are there, what could i do to improve my skills and somehow play for a college team?

Im currently 17, 5-11, 168 lbs and want to play at DB. Either Free Safety or cornerback, but not sure at which one i could fit into.

thanx for any advice and for your time.

Answer
Edwin, hello!

Without experience, the college would put you down on the priority list, but if you're an athlete, some college will love giving you the opportunity.  I've attached some standard websites for you to start exploring.  You would have a better chance to play for a lesser division school than competing against the Blue Chips that line up to play for the big universities.  Once again, it all depends on all skilled you can be at the position you want to play.
