AboutThom Brooks Expertise I would be honored to help you find your answers on history, trivia or stats of College Football. I may not be your best source, but can advise where you can find the answers you seek!
Experience I've been watching it for over 55 years!

Question My son was playing football for a DivI school in the Big East conference. His coach was fired, the new coach came in and let go all walk-on's as well as 12 scholarship players to make room for "his players." The NCAA will allow my son (a walk on player) to transfer however the Big East will not allow a player to transfer from one Big East school to another Big East school.
How can they allow that? A kid walks on to a program, and is automaticaly black listed from all other Big East programs....how can they get away with this?
Answer Malcolm, hello!
You would need to appeal their rule through the Big East Conference powers to be. Their rule sounds fair except in the case you've mentioned. It sounds that they at least need to review it. If the players that were dismissed from the old school desire to stay within the conference AND if your statement was the only factor, I'd vote to allow them to play for another Big East team.
I've also attached the NCAA site. You may consider an appeal through the big boys!
