Question Football has always been a passion of mine, i love to watch it, study it when ever i can, and play it whenever i get together with my friends. I wanted to know if it was possible to play on a jr college team at age 23 with no highschool experience and where would i begin. I know its already a longshot but ive already started strength and conditioning training and i have the heart. Thank you.
Answer Marion, hello!
I have attached websites for you to review the JUCO and other divisions of NCAA. Your age can be a disadvantage in that you may not be as fast as the younger studs. Your inexperience can hurt you against the guys that have been playing for many years. However, your age can offer Leadership and Wisdom that the younger men need. If you are a gifted athlete, plenty of schools will love to see you suit up. If you play like a girl, then you will not make the team!
If you are seriously committed to playing, and if you will pay the price to get ready, then you will be a great asset to the team.
Never Ever Give Up.
Take care,
Thom Brooks
