QuestionMy name is Brandon Powers, I talked to you a while ago about walk-ons. Well I graduated, and I've been accepted to savannah state. I ready to go and try out for the running back position, but there is a big issue, While in school I didn't try hard enough and came out with a 2.3 GPA and no scholarship what so ever. Its gonna be tough on the fam for me to go to school because my mom is the only one working and my dad had a heart attack a few years back and had to retire. I really wanna go to school, but I need some money, I already have a number of jobs, but they dont seem very effective to pay for each semester. my first question is: Is it possible to get a scholarship while on campus after registering for school? number two: Do you know ANY one or more persons who could offer a job where I can pay for school? number three: Do you Know anyone that was a runningback that can teach me the basics and some drills to improve my game? Sorry for all the questions Mr.Brooks and have a nice day
AnswerBrandon, hello!
Yes, you can earn a scholarship later but if you need work to help through college, I've attached this email to one of our baseball league members. He played for Savannah State during their record 47 game NCAA winning streak and is our men's baseball league best Centerfielder! He has contacts and may be able to help you.
He likely has contacts to help you with improving your football skills.
Take care and I will follow your progress!
