QuestionHey Coach my name is Benson Louis-Pierre I am 6'3" 245 I play OLB and DE I work out and i just really want to play college football for a D1 school but really have no guidance and want help. Iam 21 and i go to a community college and just wish i can play football and go to school.
AnswerBenson, Comcast had my internet off for 5 days but two technicians later, they got the external lines working again. Sorry for the delay.
I have attached the NCAA websites for you to review the Eligibility rules. Be aware of the minimum grades and the penalty of having to sit out one year if you move up to higher divisions and the usual 5 years of eligiblity.
You can go to the JUCO websites through the NCAA to see which colleges offer football.
Your size is good. If you have the skill, experience and Leadership, you may be able to Walk On at your favorite D-1 school that offers the degree you seek.
Call the colleges of choice immediately. Enlist anyone you know in your town that can help. Call the high school coaches, the high school Officials, your State High School Association, the local newspaper, radio and TV sports people, even your local Congressman or Congresswoman. The more publicity and exposure you generate, the more likely a scout or coach will notice.
Take Care,
