College Football/I want to be a gator
Expert: Thom Brooks - 4/21/2010
QuestionI just started college and I'm going to transfer to UF
when I get my A.A, so I have at least 2 years of training.
To make the team, tell me what numbers you would like to
see, clean/bench/squat/40 or whatever else I need, and ill
make it happen coach. If i need to study football ill do
that too.
I'm 5'6 and ill probably be 28 by the time I get there,
but don't let that lower the numbers you want me to work for.
thanks.
AnswerArthur, hello!
You need to talk with the trainers in your area about an exercise program that includes sprints, weight lifting, diet and other exercises that will match the positions you seek to play. Get with current or former players and learn as much about the plays as possible. Your goal of becoming a Gator is challenging because they get to pick the best blue chips in the nation. If you are exceptional, you can make the team, but you still have to compete with the 18-21 year old fireballs that may be the fastest runners available. At age 26-28, you should have the calmness and Leadership that the younger fellas may not show yet. Go to your local high schools. The coaches will give you their print outs for clean/bench/squat weights and times.
Wish you the best! Let me know when you get on the team!
