Question
I attended a d2 school coming out of high school in 2004. I got redshirted my first year and I dress out my second year but I did not touch the field for any plays. Then, I left that school in may 2006. I took the next semester off and I attended a community college(not playing football) for the spring semester of 2007. Now, this fall I'm at a d1AA school not playing football. But, I want to transfer to another d1AA school for the spring of 2008, because they having walk on tryouts in Feb. But, their first inaugural season is not until 2009. How many years of eligibility I will have left to play football?

Answer
Anthony, wow!!  We need to get us a Philadelphia Lawyer to help figure this one out!  The NCAA will likely rule that you have 3 years of Eligibility left.  The Red Shirt year would be waived but the second year may be counted against your eligibility.  They have to look at your records to get a direct answer for your inquiry.  Let me know what they say!

Have a great day!!
