Question
How hard is it to get into a college team if your 23 and never played or tried out for a high school team, but you feel you have great ability, just never got the chance to play in a league?

Answer
Danny, hello!

It would be very difficult since you have no experience to offer them.  But, it would not be impossible.  If want to play badly, you will have the motivation to take the extra steps it takes.  You have to contact the colleges of your choice and they will discuss your possible chances.  If you catch a Coach at the right time, he will give you a chance.  But, you've got to make that chance happen.  They will not come to you.  They will consider you as the last option, since they have scores of quality, experienced players begging for a chance.  So, what are you going to do to get their attention?

They will tell you of their tryout dates.  You may have to enlist the help of local Coaches (from ALL levels).  You may have to get some of them to send letters of recommendation.

You are not too old!  Your biggest challenge would be in not having played.  Do not give up.
