QuestionQUESTION: Hey thom, i have been reading some recent answers and i saw your sons band, they are very good. Anyways, Im 5'10 and about 160 pounds, i have been in love with sports and playing them all my life, I really love football and i really wanna play college football even if it is at juco, or anywhere. Im currently 17 years old, and a senior and high-school, i would love to know how hard it is to get on a juco football team or a d3 school or any college football team. I know everything about the game, and love it to death. I know im not done growing, and as i continue to grow ill work out and get stronger and faster.
i look forward to hearing from you, Thank you, Tyler.
ANSWER: Tyler, hello!
You need to get involved in helping a team, even the Age 6-14 groups. You can be a ball boy, a coach, an assistant, etc. but you will get some on the ground experience. You should make contact with the JUCO or college of your choice immediately in order for them to see if you're qualified to make their roster. You can go to your local YMCA and City nd County Recreational Departments to get contacts. You should have a talk with the local high school Coaches and the local Football Officials. All of them will give you important information to get you steered the right way.
Let me know when you make that team!!

QUESTION: Ok awesome, but is it really hard to make a juco team, if you know what your doing and have heart and dedication?
AnswerTyler, hello.
It is hard to make any team, but the winning programs typically have much higher standards and qualifications.
So, I can't really answer your question. You will know the requirements upon your first meeting with that Coaching staff.
Take care,
