College Football/Extra Point question

Question
In a Texas high school football game (NCAA football rules), Team A lines up for the extra point after scoring a touchdown and misses the exra point - wide right. But the officials call offside on Team B.  Team A accepts the penalty.  Where is the ball placed now to run the play? And if it is moved half the distance to the goal how many penalty yards is accessed to Team B? Team A now goes for 2 points and runs it in for the 2 point conversion.  How many yards is credited to the Team A runner on that play? Thanks.

Thanks for the question. Team A has a choice it can decline the foul and Kick Off or it may accept the penalty and replay the try.

Per NCAA Rule 8-3-3-2 A reply after a penalty against Team B may be from ANY point ON or Between the inbounds line ON or BEHIND where the penalty leaves the ball.  Thus the ball may be placed at the 1 1/2 yardline (half the distance to the goal) or anywhere behind the  the yardline where the penalty leaves the ball.  And it may be placed anywhere between the hash marks.

If it is moved half the distance to the goal how many penalty yards is accessed to Team B? Team B is accessed 1 1/2 yards.

If Team A runs for a 2 point conversion Team A is credited with the number of yards from where the ball was snapped to the goal.  If the ball was snapped from the 3 yardline A is credited with 3 yards.  If A snaps from the 1 1/2 A is credited with 1 1/2  yards.

Thanks for your question.  I apologize for the delay in my answer but I was traveling for a college game when you posed the question and as my profile indicated since I am an active on field official there will be delays in my reply from Thursday - Sunday during the Fall since these are my game travel days.
