Question
Hey
I no you've answered a ton of these questions before.  I read in one of your previous answers your an fsu fan so i was wondering if you knew any info about walking on at fsu.  I've sent them an email but haven't recieved an answer yet.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Answer
Bob, hello!

FSU played a Walk On in this weekend's victory over the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

No, I do not have any connections, but if that is your chosen school, you need to telephone them until one of their secretaries talks to you.  Ask for a personal interview and be classy but persistent.  Schools of that caliber get to choose most of the Blue Chips, so only you know if you're solid enough to take a place on the Roster.

I'm certain they get a large number of emails so you need to qualify your email by sending a letter to their Athletic Department.  When the Recruiting season starts up again at the first of the year, you need to get Bobby Bowden's attention.  Go to Tallahassee when they give you a chance.  Watch for some of their Summer Camps.  They will recognize if you're a quality player.  Write letters to ALL of the Coaches, the Assistants, the TV and radio people.  Heck, you could even write to the Governor and Mayor of Tallahassee to ask for their help in your Quest!!!

Wish I could give you the one person that will get that door open for you!!!

WHEN you make the team, I need 2 tickets to any FSU Home Game, or away games near Georgia.

Be Bold and Aggressive, Bob !!
