Question
I am looking to attend a JUCO. I play football from age 6 through high school. I recently graduated from High School. I attending a junior college right now that does not have a football program. I would like to transfer to JUCO that offers football. My purpose for going to school in my home state is to get ahead on my units needed so when I do land the opportunity to transfer hopefully in the Spring I am one step ahead academically. I am working out so that I stay physically fit. What would be some suggestions as far a JUCO schools you would recommend? I have tapes to send. I am just at a lost as to where to start. I have experienced calling and e-mailing coaches and get no response. Thanks....DJ

Answer
D.J. ,  Hello!

You can go to site called Juco.com and start looking at the programs in the different states near your locale.  Yes, keeping your grades up while building towards getting into a major college football program would be a great plan!  Without bothering any coach, you need to continue to be persistent.  Call their Athletic Department and get times of the tryouts from the secretary or assistants.  If your dream is to play ball, keep trying.  Coaches admire those that never give up!
