Question
I am a PIAA high school football official with 7 years experience in doing games from youth level through Varsity. I am interested in becoming an official for NCAA and would like to know how to go about this.

Thanks for your question.  I hope your season is going well.  First you need to contact someone in your high school organization who does college football.  Introduce yourself and let them know your are interested in working college football.

Then once you establish that contact ask if there are any NCAA instructional classes or study groups you can sit in on.  Find a college official to mentor you.

Work as many high school games as you can - the more snaps you get the better official you become.  You should take on leadership roles in your high school association and advance within the high school ranks.

Ask your mentor if you are ready to apply to college conferences and when you are apply to all the college conferences (Jr. College, NAIA, Div. III;II I-AA)

I recommend going to a football officials camp to learn, to be seen and to network.

You must be solid in the RULES, Mechanics and you must market yourself.
