John, I am coaching a men's baseball game this weekend and will be officiating a high school football game tomorrow night.  I will ask the Irish fans to see if they would know an answer.  You need to go to Notre Dame University (Athletic Department) website and write them a question.  Since records for your question were likely never kept, perhaps they know of some of the old timers that would remember if Montana or Thiesmann or Hornung were ever carried off the field.  What is the motive of your question?  Maybe I can research it better if you tell me any other specifics that could help.
