Question
I am an 18 year old high school graduate.  I was a football player up until 7th grade when my family moved overseas to South Africa.  I began playing rugby and reached a high level of success.  Thus, I love to hit hard and am physically and mentally tough.  I wish to walk-on to a college football team in the fall.  I am 5' 11 230.. Bench 325, Squat 420, and run the 40 in 450.  I am determined and am currently hard at work learning the game better.

My question is what is the best way to walk on to a college football team?

Answer
Drew, hello!  A number of Rugby teams come to Savannah to compete in a tournament every year on ST. Patricks Day.  All you need to do is:

1.  Pick your school.
2.  Show them your accomplishments after a Scrum.
3.  They will tell you where your best position is.

If you are a good Rugby player, you would be outstanding on a Gridiron.

Take the Athletic Department any and all records, video, trophies, etc.  You will get a tryout and you will make the team!!

Stay in touch and let me know what school you're playing for so I can pull for you!
