Question
Hello,my name is Dawaun Horton. I am currently going to be a Fresman at the Ohio State University. In highschool I have played played football for 4 years, with my senior year being my standout year. Senior year,in the weight room, I had a max bench of 265, max squat of 475, and max
power clean of 240.I also had a 40 time of 4.5sec. I weigh 161 having a height of 5'8". On the field I had a total of 675 rushing yards on 66 carries with a total of 7 TDS.I made Second team all league under my team mate who made first team Chris Crockett. I had offers from quite a
few D-2 and D-3 schools about playing football for them but had to turn them down because they didnt have my major, which was Computer Engineering. So now I am at Ohio State and I missed the chance to walkon this 2007 year. I was just curious if you think that I could possibly make
it as a walk-on on OSU my Sophmore year based off the info I gave you?

Answer
Dawaun, hello!

You sound like a Warrick Dunn type back that most teams would love to have on the squad!  You are also asking about one of our country's best football program.  With your background, I'm sure the Buckeye staff should give you a long look!  You need to stay in contact with them, and any friends on the team that can get you an audience with the Coaches.  They will have your records and films.  It sounds as if you have a great chance to be successful.  If you have a great vertical jump and quick lateral moves, as it appears, you will be an asset to any team.

You are living a great dream, so keep pushing!  You are going to be a success in Sports and Business!
