QuestionI am a high school kicker and punter. I would like to know, How do you walk on a college team. I am pretty good, and want a chance to show what I have.
Career Stats: 92% on Extra Points, 90% on Field Goals, and a 42yd avg. on Punts. Long Field goal was a 55yd.
AnswerChance, hello!
With numbers like that, all you need is to mail the stats to the colleges of your choice and most will beg for your talent. Georgia Southern down in Statesboro, Georgia would take you quickly!
Contact the schools and they will advise their dates and requirements. The Coaches and Scouts are on recruiting trips now, so start working on it tomorrow. Let them know what type of education you seek and they will help your education and improve your football skills.
Kicking in college will be much more challenging but you can do it, and you will be able to do it well. You will improve tremendously over the next two years!!
Keep on a healthy diet, work on your sprints and leg strength exercises. Stay away from any sports that would hurt your legs.
Keep in touch. I want to follow your career. You're going to have one heckuva time.
