Question
Does the sponser of a bowl game make money in the process i.e. ticket sales, concessions etc. I know they put up money, I was just wondering if in the process they turn a profit.

Answer
Rick, I just found a website that is called College Bowl Sponsorship Opportunities.  Research them.  It appears they have the answers.  If you find out before I do, please let me know!

Take care,

Rick, I think it depends on the Bowl game.  Sponsors are the ones that often PAY the money to promote the games.  Their logic is that they would profit from the publicity.

Sorry I can't give you a definite answer.

I'll ask some people that may answer better!  I coach a men's baseball team and was at practice today.  Some of the player's can tell me so, I'll ask them next week!

In our baseball league, we have over $15,000 from local hospitals and a Doctor that is simply donated to promote baseball.

In the Super Bowl, advertisers pay millions for a few minutes, but the Sponsor of the College Bowl games typically give awards/scholarships/prizes/ etc. to MVP and so on.  But, your question is, do the Sponsors get any profit from the gate receipts/refreshments?  They would pay a great deal to promote the cost, but in turn would get the advertisement, plus the economical boom to that community.

Take care,
