Question
does a player have to sit out the following game after being ejected in CFB?

It depends.  It depends on what the foul was that caused the ejection and when the ejection occurred.  The ejection could be only for the game, for the following half of the next game or for a full game.  Please provide me with more information so I may give you a more accurate answer.

Ejections are treated differently depending on the foul -Players ejected for fighting are treated differently from players ejected for wearing illegal cleats, chewing tobacco, flagrant personal fouls, unsportsmanlike fouls, unfair or illegal tactics, sideline or illegal interference or contacting an official.
