Actually, in 2000, Yale became the first team to win 800 games.  Of course, they no longer play big-time football, but I wonder if this should exclude them.  They once were big-time college football.

There are 4 current 1-A teams with 800 or more wins, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas and Nebraska. Thom Brooks' data must be old or inaccurate as the Huskers just won their 800th (10-14-06) and they have not played 14 games this year.

this is incorrect information.  The ESPN sports almanac has more accurate info.

Texas 825

Nebraska 808

Ohio State 797

Penn State 789

Alabama 787

Oklahoma 779

All as of the end of last year.
