College Football/Too old or Not?
Expert: Thom Brooks - 9/28/2007
QuestionQUESTION: Hello I'm in my late 20's and I out of nowhere a year ago decided to get back on the right track fitness wise after I met my personal goals I decided to push even harder I am now what I feel is the best shape of my life I'm 265 pounds and still agile i play basketball everyday and keep to my regular strength training. In highschool I played defensive end and was great. Whats too old to try out for a college football team I went to georgia southern during the adrian peterson days for a little while but never played and I think I could really compete i know you hear that alot but what do you think.
ANSWER: b maxx,
America has a 59 year old about to play again! You are not too old!
I saw A.P. running with the ball for many games, so the Eagles and Dawgs are my teams.
It always seems a good football player screws up his career by getting injured while playing basketball, so put the hoops away and get your butt on the football field. I hope you play for Georgia Southern. You will be one of my heroes.
I coach a men's baseball team in Savannah, called the Bombers, and we're looking for ball players age 25 and up. If you elect to not play football, contact me!
Take care,
Thom Brooks

Answerb maxx, you have to contact Coach Hatcher at Georgia Southern, or the college you choose. They will give you the dates and eligibility standards. It would be awesome to see you help the Eagles win a National Championship.
