Question
At the end of the Alabama/Arkansaw game in overtime the Al rulling back went down appearing to fumble the ball into the endzone.The play was ruled down on the half yard line. The announcer said the play could not be overturned by review because the teams are in overtime. Please explain why or if this is correct. Thanks

Thanks for your question. I apoligize for my delay in answering it - I was away working a game myself this weekend and then on a business trip yesterday.

All plays are reviewable during regulation or overtime.  What the TV announcer might have ment was that Rule 12-3-3(a) states that if a Runner is ruled down, then that is not reviewable. The fact that it was overtime has nothing to do with whether the play is reviewable per Rule 12 which governs Replay.
