Question
i graduated high school in 2001 and im now 25. i played football 3 years in high school and wondering if i still have a chance playing college football at my age. i hurt my ankle real bad and that was the cause of me not trying out for a college team...im 5'9 175 and run a 4.4 40..should i try?

Answer
Tristan, hello!  If you have the passion, you need to try out immediately.  If you cannot build your body strength, stamina and position skill, then you should not try out.

I coach a men's baseball team from age 25 and Up.  Our average ages is 34, so I'm looking at a lot of college baseball players that still have that burning desire and still put themselves through the pain in order to live the dream.

You wouldn't bother writing to someone like me unless you have the Burn.  So, pursue it until you can't chase it anymore.  Age 25 is young enough to be a good athlete, and old enough to have the wisdom to outsmart the younger guys.

Get on a team and keep me posted.  I'll be a new fan for you!

Take care and liten to my son's band at:
