College Football - I still want to play!!!

Expert: Thom Brooks - 8/31/2007

Question
Hello Thom, My name is Mario Crumble I've been playing football sence the 4th grade, I've been blessed in that I've never had a major injury, after playing so long. I had high honors in highschool all-con,all-city etc, i was giving a full ride to Nebraska, got mixed up in the wrong crowd, and had to go JUCO, I was a college starter a SCC (Scottsdale community college) in Arizona. I'm 6'1 235 right now and run a 4.5 40yd dash i haven't been working out like i should so bench press i could tell you. I still have the desire, but working on the drive you can look me up on Google type "mario crumble". i'm asking you what should i do can i stiil make it.

Answer
Mario, You need to do whatever is necessary to get yourself ready for some Football!  Your talent need not sit on the sidelines, so get busy.  I would prefer that you play for the Florida State Seminoles or Georgia Bulldogs, but Nebraska is an okay program, if you like cornfields!!!!

Get all of your film and stats compiled and send them to the college of your choice.  They will get the NCAA ruling on your eligibility.  If you have any kind of legal or educational obstacles, the Coaching staff will go all out to help you get on the team.  I'll go to your website next.
One of the students in my Insuance School gave me his brother's card.  He is a former Notre Dame player named,
d'Juan Francisco and is a recruiter for a company called
Insight Recruiting, the Magazine.  His phone number is 317-
413-3760 and email is insightsporttwo@yahoo.com .  I am not now, nor will intend on getting any kind of kickback or recognition, but he may have an offer that would be the answer to your dream.  I do not know if they charge you for the service or if the colleges pay them?

At any rate, keep the memories flowing and get your butt back onto the field.  Do not procrastinate another day.  If you are special, you need to share that joy with America.  We need heroes, Leaders and role models, so let's get it going!!

Keep me posted on your growing success and get me a ticket to come watch you play some day.
