Question Last year me and my familly bought a border collie runt from a place in Wales. Now a year old, we really would like to breed her some time in her life, but were wondering if she would be too small, as she was the runt.
Answer Hi Jo,
I can only answer this question from a general standpoint, however; as a note of encouragement, I have seen quite a few slow developers of a litter mature and have fantastic litters of puppies. I suggest you take your pup to a veterinarian for a complete physical and reproductive appraisal. That way you will know if your girl is developed enough to carry a litter of puppies and get her checked out medically before going ahead with breeding her.
Thanks for your question.
